This policy pertains to all languages offered by the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations.
The Arabic language and literature program in the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations provides students with a wide range of courses related to the language, cultures, and societies of the Arab world, including courses in language, literature, and civilization.
The Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations offers undergraduate (BA) and graduate (MA, PhD) programs in Chinese.
The Farsi language program in the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations provides students with courses in Farsi language and Persian Civilization.
The Hindi/Urdu language and literature program in the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations offers a broad scope of language, literature, cinema, and civilization courses.

CUBASGA Call For Papers
CUBASGA will hold its Annual Graduate Student Conference on February 27-28, 2015 in Boulder, CO with keynote speakers Professor Ding Xiang Warner of Cornell University and Professor Michael Emmerich of the University of California, Los Angeles. Graduate students are invited to submit papers that consider Asian cultures, ancient and modern. We welcome papers in all fields of research on Asia, including literature, history, history of science, religious studies, philosophy, anthropology, political science, comparative literature, etc. Please submit an abstract resume/curriculum vitae to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 2, 2015.
